Prior to coming to HCCA, I spent more than 25 years in education, serving both as a K–12 classroom teacher and a district-level administrator. After earning my doctorate in Science Education/Biology, I also taught at the university level for a time. God has blessed me with an amazing daughter and two incredible grandsons. After my first grandson was born, I made the decision to step away from my educational career and embrace the blessings of being a full-time grandmother.

My involvement with HCCA began when our family made the decision to enroll my grandsons here. God was leading us to Holy Cross, and I am so thankful that He did. During that time, God laid it on my heart to return to education. I missed teaching students and facilitating their learning, but even more importantly, I missed the opportunity to help guide them toward a Christ-centered life so they can shine for Him in whatever purpose He has for their lives.

It is both an honor and a privilege to now serve as the After-School Director at HCCA.
